Pictured on top is the personalized plate I just bought for my nephew along with a picture of my son's plate (now 17 years old). The paint tones of the blues and coral paints of the newer plate just ordered is much richer/darker in comparison to my son's piece. I honestly prefer tones and even the details of my son's older version. Not going to lie...I was a bit disappointed opening this piece along with a cereal bowl I purchased. Additionally, the price has gone up astronomically...in 2020 a personalized bowl, plate & mug cost $155. Now, 1 cereal bowl & children's plate costs $157.

The art on the birthplate plate is extremely similar to the 3 others that I ordered while I was in the store in July of 2024. The colors used in this new plate are very harsh and dark. The other 3 are the traditional soft pink and soft greens with the 2 colors of the traditional Lighter and darker blues. The pink is actually an orange when hanging with the other 3 and the soft green is a harsh dark green on the tree. The painted squiggle with the flowers in each side of the plate is nowhere near a pink and it’s a different design and flower than all of my others. Even my own children’s plates from the early 90’s have the soft pick and green in them. This new plate looks very out of place in the grouping. I'm not a fan of the harsh bold colors used on this new plate and disappointed in the darker shades of these colors used. Please use the traditional soft pink and greens again.

I love the birth and wedding plates. I am disappointed by how Michelin has changed. I have 14 birth plates and 4 wedding plates. Until the 2025 plates the plates were on a Greyish background and the new ones are closer to white Hanging side by side there is a noticeable difference. The wedding plate has a very grainy surface

This was an online order that was shipped as a gift so I never saw the plates. The recipient thanked me and loves them. We have the personalized wedding plate and 3 personalized boy plates and 2 personalized girl plates for our 5 children. One plate accidentally fell from the wall and broke. I was so upset as it was my daughter's plate from her birth in 2001 (yes, 24 years ago)! The team at Hadley Pottery was able to make me a new personalized plate just like the old and it has been returned safely to the wall with the others! I can't thank Hadley Pottery enough for recreating this special family keepsake for us! Our oldest son will be getting married next year and we plan to start the tradition for him with a personalized wedding plate (and hopefully some kids plates some day as well!).
