Mary Alice Hadley created most of our current designs and all designs are inspired by M.A. Hadley. Every artist was trained by a protégé of Mrs. Hadley. Genuine Hadley Pottery pieces have the M.A. Hadley hand-painted signature on the bottom or side of the piece.

I love the shape of the candle - classic Julep cup, and the Fleur-de-lis! I am originally from Louisville, now living in Florida and many decades past my time in Derby City, but - you can take the girl out of Louisville, but you can't take the Louisville out of the girl! I also love that I am not too far from Cross Creek, where Mary Hadley's friend, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings lived! When I toured her home there, I was tickled to see several M.A. originals there! Small world connections...
