Mary Alice Hadley created most of our current designs and all designs are inspired by M.A. Hadley. Every artist was trained by a protégé of Mrs. Hadley. Genuine Hadley Pottery pieces have the M.A. Hadley hand-painted signature on the bottom or side of the piece.

The only objection we could have is that the two lamb plates have quite different coloration. All of our other Hadley plates are the paler colors. Not a big deal - but a little surprising.

I've been collecting Mary Alice Hadley dishes since I was 17! (I'm now in my 70s). My oldest daughter asked if she could use them with her family so I packed it up and sent it to her. However, I missed it so much I ordered another set for me. Now she'll have even more when she inherits them. I ordered the Everything Bowls this time and I LOVE them!! Customer service has been great as a few of the dishes arrived broken. They were quickly replaced. Mary Alice Hadley is a tradition in our home!

I first ordered a lunch plate from eBay and it was much smaller than the lunch plate I ordered directly from Hadley. Probably more like a bread plate instead of a lunch plate. Point being, I got the right plate when I ordered from the source. It's beautiful!!!
