Owl Luminary - Large
The owl luminaries are a long tradition at Hadley. Cast clay that is glazed to a shine, they carry light in a way that is both simple and lasting. Mary Alice had a tradition of welcoming neighbors to Halloween parties at her Louisville home. These owls carry that same spirit forward, casting a candle’s glow season after season.
The largest owl makes its place near the hearth or at the center of a gathering. Room for a full candle, it casts a wider circle of light. This size has long been part of the tradition. A familiar piece to keep throughout the season.

Mary Alice Hadley created most of our current designs and all designs are inspired by M.A. Hadley. Every artist was trained by a protégé of Mrs. Hadley. Genuine Hadley Pottery pieces have the M.A. Hadley hand-painted signature on the bottom or side of the piece.
