The Girl and the Boat - Plate Only
We made this plate just for The Girl and the Boat, painted in Hadley blue with the girl and her boat at the center.
The artist behind the book, Julia Allisson Cost, grew up in a home filled with Hadley. Her parents were gifted their first pieces in the 1970s, and they’ve been collecting ever since. When she painted the book, she included pieces from her childhood kitchen and picnic scenes too.
This plate is a quiet tribute to that connection. It’s meant for shelves, for gifting, or for keeping close.
9 inch diameter, Hadley Pottery's lunch plate. Pattern inspired by the art of Julia Allisson Cost in The Girl and the Boat.

The Hadleys at Home.
Mary Alice Hadley created most of our current designs and all designs are inspired by M.A. Hadley. Every artist was trained by a protégé of Mrs. Hadley. Genuine Hadley Pottery pieces have the M.A. Hadley hand-painted signature on the bottom or side of the piece.
